'Good, Little, Christian Girl'

It's been nearly 2 months since I posted, but I'm not going to make this a long apology since I know you (like myself) are tired of reading the abundance of "life took over that's why you've not heard a peep from me" posts on blogs all across the web. So forgive the following 'ramblings' but I've got to get this stuff out...

Living in this culture is hard when you try to be the 'good, little, Christian girl.' Especially when most of the girls you know that profess to be Christian and attend Youth regularly aren't trying to be even that. But then...life is more than being that stereotype...And then again it is.....

  1. Good...We serve a righteous God who graciously sent His Son to pay the price which bought the bridge across the gap so that we may have fellowship with Him. We are called to be His holy people, '..a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.' (1 Peter 2:9, Amplified Bible)
  2. Little....that's just in there because of cliche. lol
  3. Christian...Whenever I write a bio. I always include, 'learning more about and trying to become more like Christ.' We can't ever be completely like Him, but it is an awesome calling to live a life that tries. I can't help but love Him because He's like brother, daddy, and best friend rolled into one. He understands me because He is also my great, '...High priest who has passed though the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize wiht our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. '(Hebrews 4:14-16), but I don't always understand Him because, 'My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways...as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.'
  4. Girl...As a female I have been called to be a helpmeet. And that is NO small task, or a drudgery. It's an amazing fulfillment. Christ even compares His Church to a bride, who is a helpmeet. Part of being a female is guarding your body and feelings, which brings me to a wonderful project the Rebelution has delved into......................................................................
